Established in 1904, on the eastern border of Kochi Prefecture.  Being a small brewery allows for a concerted effort to create real sake that one will want to experience over and over.  Every sake has a distinct personality, and although it seems like common sense the objective of the brewery is to product sake that fans will always think to be delicious and easy to drink.  Sake is a living organism.  One must utilize the best ingredients and commit all focus on the craft;  this is the duty of the brewery.  

創業明治３７年。県最東端にある蔵元。小さい蔵だからこそできる本物を追求する酒造り、常に美味しい状態でもう一度飲みたいと思われる酒造りに取り組む。美丈夫とは「イケメン美男子」「美しく立派な男」的な意味。

日本酒にはいろんなお酒があります。蔵によって個性があります。当たり前のように思われるかもしれませんが、美丈夫は、お客様に「おいしい、飲みやすい」そう言っていただける酒を目指しています。酒は生き物。最高の原料にこだわり、手を掛けて造るのは当たり前のことです。一生懸命造った酒のおいしさを飲み手のすぐそばまで、最高の状態でたどり着くようにすることが蔵元の役割と考えています。
