Wine of Japan Import, Inc. (WOJ) stands as one of the oldest family-owned and operated national importers of ultra-premium sake, spirits and beer.  Founded in 1973, WOJ began as an importer and regional beverage alcohol distributor servicing the New York tri-state area.  In 1984, Sanwa Trading Co., Inc. was founded as the commercial foodstuff sister importer and distributor.  In 2003, a second beverage alcohol and commercial foodstuff distribution center was established in Orlando, Florida under the Sanwa banner.  Most recently in 2015, WOJ established a west coast distribution center in Los Angeles, California.

With over 45 years of experience, WOJ continues to introduce the best Japan has to offer to an ever-growing audience here in the United States.  Keeping current with evolving consumer palates, our portfolio is continuously evaluated and curated to ensure that only the most exclusive and select products are offered.

Local Sales Consultant Opportunity (Based out of New Jersey)
Description:
Direct contact with local on-premise and off-premise retail establishments.  In this growth position, the consultant will travel to and call upon existing and potential clients within an assigned distribution territory, promoting a variety of products from within our beverage portfolio, developing relationships with clients and providing superior service, all in a high-energy, fast-paced, team environment. If you are motivated, a self-starter, customer-focused, sales-driven, and are seeking a position that allows for growth opportunities, we invite you to consider joining our local direct sales department.

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university OR the equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred majors include, but not limited to Business Administration, International Business, Marketing, Economics, Communications, Sociology, and Psychology. Previous sales experience is a plus, while previous sales experience in beverage alcohol is a significant plus. The following are key attributes we seek in associates: organized, detail-oriented, excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to work well in a team. 

Qualified candidates possess a strong interest in promoting Japanese culture through Japanese food and beverage, are goal-oriented and passionate about increasing sales revenues and propelling their careers.

We are capable of offering various compensation structures depending on experience be it full commission or base-plus commission incentives.

Japanese Language Fluency Highly Preferred albeit not required.

Direct contact sales with out of state beverage distributors.  In this growth position, the consultant travels to existing and potential wholesale distributor clients in other states, promoting, selling, and educating client sales teams and their key accounts about items within our beverage alcohol portfolio. Consultants assist in developing relationships with the wholesaler's key accounts and provide superior service, all in a very high-energy, fast-paced, team environment. If you are highly-motivated, a self-starter, customer-focused, sales-driven, and are seeking a position that allows for significant travel and growth opportunities we invite you to consider joining our national sales team.

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university OR the equivalent combination of education and experience.
